In 1999, Eastern Star made a five year commitment to raise $2.500.00 in five yearly instalments
of $500.00 for the ship Hector "Come on Board" campagin. After only two years, and due in part to the huge sucess of our "lobster
draw" this past fall, we have honoured our pledge.
Brother Owen MacDonald PG presents a representative of the Hector Foundation , a check with the
amount owing on Eastern Star's commitment to the "Come on Board" campaign.(Fall 2001)

Eastern Star has a new chair lift
The Lodge rooms of Eastern Star IOOF #1 & Princess Rebekha #4 are now serviced by a state of the
art chair lift. The lift features a specially made one peice track, which takes the rider from the ground floor to the second
without stopping. The track makes a 45 degree turn at the first landing and provides easy accesabilty to the Lodge room for
those who need it. (Fall 2002)
